[Anime] Death Note
« on: September 24, 2008, 04:48:18 PM »
this is in my opinion the best anime I am currently making my own notebook by printing the letter then cutting them out and tracing them on masking tape then I will spray paint the notebook white then tape the letters to it and spray paint it black thus i will get my homemade Death Note
*edit* the notebook turned out bad just ended up buying one off amazon

Yes yes, it was an awsome anime, up untill L died. Then, in my and all my freinds opinions, it went downhill rather quickly. Homemade Death Note huh. My freind had one of those, but he used a diffrent method.

I was gonna put this as a weekly anime because in reality, I loved this manga and anime since the beginning. But, I shied away from it because the second half, after L died, Really sucked. I wasn't impressed at all.

OMGLHQOR. That's what I thought. Glad to know both our resident Anime/Manga enthusiasts have good taste.

To me, the villains were a little lack luster. Mello and Near didn't seem to have the same 'Zing' as L. Not so much the intrigue and plot twists, that was constant, But L was so different and his likes and dislikes were clearly defined so the character seemed more down to earth and cared for, where as Mello was a strange sounding kid you never hear about. I was, all in all, disappointed.

Just give it up, the cat's already out of the bag and down the road and up the hill and off the cliff.

And I would advise you to just stop watching after L dies, after that it's like the people makeing Death Note where trying to bleed a rock.

Death Note II

Publisher: VIZ Pictures
Studio: VIZ Pictures
Genre: Horror
Available: October 2008 (Theatrical)
Runtime: 140 Minutes

The second movie, in theaters October 2008 (Theatrical) (I know, old news but still), resolves the cat and mouse game between Kira and L. L has closed in on Light, whom he strongly suspects of being Kira. Light, meanwhile, wants to get close enough to L to discover his name and destroy the last threat to his power as Kira. Complicating matters, a second “Kira” surfaces, one with seemingly greater abilities than the first Kira. You’ll find your head spinning as these two masters of deduction match wits with their lives on the line.

I don't know if I'm going to see it but this movie isn't coming to America but will be translated in English when the DVD comes out. (Yay)

Death Note was great, but I personally found the second half the best.

I love how Raito became completely corrupted and got owned by Near. Near is awesome! :D
